What is Bokashi?
Bokashi- naturally with nature's own microbes.
Bokashi is an easy and quick way to make nutrient-rich soil and liquid fertilizer from all kitchen bio-waste. Kitchen waste becomes fluffy and very nutrient-rich compost soil. It is full of life! The word Bokashi is Japanese and means fermented organic material. In short, Bokashi is fermentation of waste with Bokashi grit or microbial solution in an oxygen-free environment.
When fermentation in the Bokashi composter has finished, the organic material has retained all its important nutrients (especially nitrogen), which would be destroyed in the rotting process. The end result of fermentation is first-class and high-quality pre-composting material and nutrient-rich fermentation liquid.
1. Collect bio-waste
2. Ferment the waste in the Bokashi composter with the help of microbes
3. Mix the fermented material with the soil in a rodent-proof manner or take it to the composter.
Bokashi Organko SINGLE PACKAGE is suitable for bokashiers for whom two bokashi containers are not enough, but need one additional composter, and also for those who do not need their own nutrient-rich soil, but want to utilize household waste for the sake of useful leachate and to avoid constant visits to the bio collection container.
If you are just starting out, the Bokashi Organko DOUBLE PACK is more suitable for you:
The Bokashi Organko DOUBLE PACKAGE package is suitable for garden or balcony owners who want to carry out
until the end of the fermentation process. The first stage usually takes 3-4 weeks depending on the temperature and the material.
Two weeks is usually too short a time.
When the first kitchen composter is full, you can continue to fill the second composter,
during which the already filled composter continues the fermentation process until the end.
When this pre-composting is finished, the fermented pulp can be put into post-composting
e.g. for a yard composter, which must be rodent-proof. You can also set up a compost factory, e.g. in the compost, etc., but it is extremely important to make sure that rodents do not get access to the pre-composted material. At this stage, post-composting takes place aerobically, i.e. air must be allowed into the mulch factory (not the cover). The longer the kitchen waste has fermented, the less it attracts rodents and the faster it rots.
After about 3-5 weeks, the substance has turned into valuable, nutrient-rich compost soil.
Almost all organic waste is suitable for the BOKASHI composter.
It is a good idea to break the larger pieces into smaller pieces to speed up the fermentation process.
Use grits or Emma or both for more effective fermentation.
Rouhetta 1-2 tablespoons or/and Emma 3-6 sprays per liter of waste
Emma can be used for many other purposes, see more details in Emma's product presentation
FERMENTATION LIQUID
The nutrient-rich liquid resulting from fermentation can be used:
• as a garden and flower nutrient (dilution ratio 1:200-1:1000)
• for cleaning drains and waste containers (undiluted)
THE BASICS OF FIRST-CLASS COMPOST SOIL
The natural microorganisms contained in the Bokashi grits start the fermentation process in the BOKASHI kitchen composter. Organic waste contains all the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The organic waste fermented in the composter is a great basis for first-class compost soil for gardens and cultivation.
