Pure biochar - safe to use - ingenious gardening
FROM BIOCHARCOAL :
Biochar is a real miracle substance that improves the structure of the growing medium, its airiness and its ability to retain nutrients and moisture. In addition to moisture, biochar also binds carbon and pollutants from the air and soil, which offers many opportunities in solving global warming. Biochar enriches and activates soil microbes and is the best "home" for soil microbes. Toxic substances in the soil can also bind to biochar. Biochar-enriched soil gives a richer and healthier harvest.
Biochar should be added to the garden compost and the bokashi kitchen composter. This way you get an absolutely amazing nutrient-rich growing medium, where the nutrients are preserved for a long time. Because biochar effectively binds moisture, it can be used at the bottom of bokashi composters to absorb bokashi liquid, i.e. charging, or it can be mixed with biowaste with grit, especially when the waste mass is too wet. Biochar effectively prevents the formation of odors.
Biochar can also be used as a cover to keep the ground protected from the sun and to prevent the growth of weeds. The biochar roof also looks really stylish.
Always remember that untreated biochar is aggressive and absorbs a large amount of water and nutrients. When adding to the soil, you should add plenty of organic fertilizers and plenty of moisture at the same time. Another option is to "charge" the biochar before use. For example, biochar loaded with kelp extract is absolutely amazing for tomatoes and other vegetables. In order for biochar loading to be as efficient as possible, it is good to pre-activate the biochar with EM-Active Emma. Spraying with undiluted Emma or immersing in a diluted Emma solution activates the biochar to work more efficiently.
BioProffa's loaded EM-enriched brown algae biochar is also available. In addition to beneficial microbes, it contains organic kelp.
A liter of kelp biochar contains about 10 liters of nutrients, which slowly dissolve for the plant to use.
The hairy roots of the plants cling to the biochar and the hardworking microbes help the plant roots to take in the nutrients.
A real power package for e.g. tomatoes, chilies, summer flowers, etc. 100% organic
The new option is BioProffa Biohiili Preta . Preta contains 70% EBC-certified biochar and 30% manure and natural nutrients. Biochar has also been inoculated with microorganisms. In other words, this Biochar Preta is, along with Brown Algae Biochar, ready to be used to improve growing media.
USE QUANTITIES for biochar:
Mix biochar into the growing medium, about 10 liters per square meter. Spread biochar on the surface of the growing medium, add nutrients and water abundantly a few times and let the biochar form. Another option is to load biochar in large containers before mixing it into the ground. Mix the charged biochar into the surface soil about 20 cm deep before cultivation/planting the plants. You can put less or more biochar. The more it is in the soil, the more the properties of biochar are emphasized. Biochar can be used as is in aquaculture (nutrients must be added), but in standard cultivation, 5-10% of the volume of the growing medium is often recommended. Thus, for example, a good amount of biochar per pallet collar would be around 10-20 liters.
(at least 20-25 kg per 100m2, 10 liters weighs about a kilo)
LOADING : Loading biochar before use: Put a bag of biochar in the bucket/container. Pour about half the volume of a relatively strong organic nutrient solution. To increase microbial activity, we recommend adding Em-Active Emma, in a ratio of 1:10 (1dl Emma and 10dl water). Let it soak for a few hours or overnight. Liquid and nutrients have been absorbed into the biochar and it is ready to be used as a growing medium.
Alternatively, biochar can be spread directly on the growing medium, but then it is absolutely important to add plenty of nutrients and water when spreading the biochar.
Biochar is also excellent for bokashoi:
When setting up a mulch factory, biochar can be placed on the bottom of the mulch factory to absorb a fair layer of moisture, and also mixed with soil and fermented biowaste:
- The structure of the soil mass improves
- Nutrients are absorbed into the carbon and released from the carbon to the plants later with the help of microbes
- Works as a microbial hotel
- Control possible odors caused by the mulch factory (put a layer on the surface of the mulch factory)
We also offer 1000 and 1750 liter big sacks and other larger lots, please contact us
